InCharge® Education Foundation Promotes Financial Literacy Through GMAC Seminar Partnership

(Orlando, FL) — InCharge® Institute of America, Inc. has received a $20,000 grant from GMAC Financial Services to co-sponsor a series of financial literacy courses throughout the remainder of 2008. The courses, named “SmartEdge” by GMAC, are designed to help people make better financial decisions by providing them with information about budgeting, credit reports, credit scoring and other tools.
InCharge offers education, credit counseling and budget management resources to assist consumers manage their debts by helping them develop a strategy to repay creditors and regain control of their finances. As part of its educational efforts, the organization offers consumers online, interactive resources such as calculators and money management tools, as well as a series of workshops and seminars throughout the country. Its Web site, at (www.InCharge.org), also includes numerous publications and self-study guides that can help consumers more effective manage their money.
The coordinated effort with GMAC marks the first time InCharge has collaborated with a creditor on an educational endeavor of this scale. The organization’s CEO, Etta Money, said, “We are proud to be affiliated with GMAC Financial Services and look forward to helping as many people as possible learn more about how to make their money work for them, strategies to avoid debt problems, and ways to manage assets to reach personal goals.”
