ID Theft Protection: Important Message
According to a recent study by a leading research group, 1 in 5 Americans, a total
of 44 million people, have fallen victim to identify theft. It is critically
important that you take every precaution to protect yourself and your information.
InCharge Debt Solutions does not contact consumers that are not clients of the organization.
Should you receive a call from someone claiming to be from InCharge Debt Solutions
or Profina Debt Solutions, please do not provide them with any personal information
such as credit card or bank account numbers, your social security number, or any
other personal and confidential information. If you receive such a call, please
contact the appropriate financial institutions to make sure your information is
safeguarded.
In contrast, we do contact our clients occasionally to discuss information regarding
their financial matters. This is an important part of the overall counseling
partnership and is very important to make certain that all of our clients are getting
the education and information they need to be successful in the path to taking control
of their finances. While any information you share with your counselor as
part of your relationship with InCharge is held in confidence, should you ever be
concerned about your privacy, please inform the counselor that you will return their
call. Make sure the phone number you call is the client services number listed
on your statement to ensure you are speaking with an InCharge Debt Solutions certified
credit counselor.
If you feel you may have provided information that was not protected, please contact
the appropriate banks and creditors immediately to ensure your identity has not
been compromised.
You may also receive a free credit report once every 12 months from each of the
nationwide consumer credit reporting companies: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.
